New Call for Ideas for balloon experiments in the HEMERA project of Horizon 2020
A new Call for Ideas has been released by the HEMERA consortium, within a new balloon infrastructure project funded by the programme Horizon 2020.
The HEMERA project is coordinated by the French space agency CNES and involves 13 partners from several European countries and Canada, including the Swedish National Space Board. The HEMERA project will offer free of charge balloon flights to the user community. Six zero pressure balloon (ZPB) flight campaigns and several smaller sounding balloon flights are foreseen from mid-2019 to late 2021 from Esrange in Sweden, Timmins in Canada and Aire sur l'Adour in France.
The Call for Ideas is now open – more information about the Call can be found in the accompanying documents. The main objective of the Call for Ideas is to assess user needs in order to prepare upcoming Calls for Proposals for experiments to be flown within HEMERA. By participating in the Call for Ideas you will help the HEMERA consortium to define the Calls for Proposals – and to ensure that the Calls for Proposals suits the users’ needs to highest extent (and in line with existing budgetary and technical constraints).
The information to be submitted within the current Call for Ideas is rather brief (max 1-2 pages) and shall be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by means of the template attached. The deadline for responses is April 27, 2018.
